Abstract: The article presents an overview of the main problems of modern museum marketing in terms of promoting non-profit art museums across the popularization of their collections. As the core technology is considered branding art museum. Key issues related to the embodiment of reality discussed in scientific technology publications are identified by the example of the analysis of the activities of the Krasnoyarsk Museum of Art named after VI Surikov in the period from 2011 to 2012. In conclusion, the article draws conclusions about the appropriateness of the considered technology, effective use of modern marketing moves in the promotion of non-profit art museums in Russia, particularly in the Krasnoyarsk region.
