P.S. Gurevich - Philosophical precautions practice (the 90-th anniversary of the Berdyaev’s “Philosophy of Inequity” publication) pp. 37-47

DOI:

Abstract: In N.A. Berdyaev’s rich legacy in philosophy, his “Philosophy of Inequity” work has special value. Like the philosopher’s other works, it’s encyclopedic. It evaluates various social and political movements of the time and sheds light on the most important issues of social philosophy — democracy, freedom, revolution, culture, nation. The theoretical broadness of the work neighbors with polemical depth, linked by a pamphlet, homiletic tone. This book is enriched by the hard-won idea of denouncing social revolution as means of solving social problems. It is, in its essence, a philosophical precaution, the lessons of which are quite so evident in contemporary times.
Keywords: pedagogics, philosophy, precaution, revolution, prophecy, equality, inequity, existence, social knowledge, conservatism.
