Abstract: Decision of the Ukrainian government to prohibit a number of foreign mass – media (Russian, Chinese, Georgian, Armenian, Israeli, etc.) from November 1, 2008 caused much political uproar both in the Ukraine and abroad. This article by D.M. Lunin is devoted to this topical problem.
