Abstract:
The article is devoted to the 150th anniversary of A. P. Chekhov and represents a case of literary g
oriented at judicial and philosopho-legal problems. Based on the example of a famous story ‘Malefactor’ the
author shows how the great writer Chekhov introduced the deep antitetics to the society of post-reform Russia.
The author also touches upon the topic of narrative literature as a discourse.
