Abstract:
The article is devoted to requirements for scientifi c
criteria in the social theory. For this purpose the author of the
article analyzes the historical process, in particular, history
of culture, from the point of view of a system-synergetic
approach. The author studies the role of mentality in the
historical process and touches upon various aspects of the
question whether there are or there are not certain objective
laws in the historical development of the society.
