DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2021.3.35234

Abstract: The subject of this research is the news content of public pages in the social network VKontakte. The goal consists in examination of peculiarities of organization of the regional news discourse, comparison of Tomsk and Novosibirsk news public pages. For achieving the set goal, the article employs the methods of qualitative (manual coding and machine learning) and quantitative data processing (content analysis, thematic analysis, psycholinguistic analysis). The empirical material contains regional news reports on sociopolitical topics, available for public viewing in the social network VKontakte (Tomsk and Novosibirsk). Analysis is conducted on the 3,786 postings in Novosibirsk and 887 postings in Tomsk. The author determines peculiarities and differences of media consumption depending on the region. It is noted that the federal news enjoy greater popularity among the users of the social network VKontakte; Tomsk residents are more concerned with the news reports covering regional events. The article reveals the specifics of creating news content characterized by the tendency towards narrativization of the news discourse. The prevalent narrative strategy of the media authors of regional news public pages consists in factual interpretation of the material with responses of high-ranking officials, authorized representatives of various structures, as well as regular persons (their opinions and attitudes, value judgments).

Galkina S.F., Lasovskaya T.Y., Pupkova E.O. - Verbalization of cognitive processes in the texts of bilinguals with alexithymia pp. 1-10

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2021.12.37087

Abstract: This article describes certain fragments of verbal-lexical and linguistic-cognitive levels of linguistic personality of the bilinguals with alexithymia. The goal lies in their determination, description, and comparison with the corresponding fragments of linguistic personality of the Russians with alexithymia for outlining the parameters that correlate or do not correlate with nationality and alexithymia status of the respondent. The research leans on the linguistic, quantitative and qualitative content analysis of autobiographical texts. The essential condition for including in the number of respondents was a pronounced alexithymia status (diagnosed in accordance with the Toronto Alexithymia Scale), affiliation to Altai or Yakut ethnic group, and command of the corresponding language (bilingualism). The following conclusions were made: certain cognitive and lexical-semantic parameters remain constant, while morphological and punctuation parameters among Altai and Yakut people cease to be the criterion of the pronounced alexithymia status of a person. The acquired results can be used as a complementary instrument for the diagnosis of alexithymia and its correction. The relevance of this research is substantiated by incidence of the phenomenon of alexithymia and the need for conducting comparative study of the texts of persons with alexithymia who belong to different ethnic groups, which allows determining the framework of such supplementary instrument of diagnosis as text analysis.

EDN: JNYBMI

Abstract: The article presents a part of the study of the conceptual field of WEALTH/POVERTY in the everyday linguistic consciousness of the speakers of Russian linguoculture. The purpose of this study is to trace the transformation of the conceptual field of word POVERTY in the linguistic consciousness of an ordinary native speaker of Russian linguoculture over the past thirty years, marked by serious socio–economic and political changes in Russian society, as well as to trace the influence on the perception of this conceptual field of the philosophical trend of non-possessiveness – one of the basic archetypes of the Russian conceptual sphere. "Russian Associative Dictionary" edited by Yu. N. Karaulov, "Russian Regional Dictionary-Thesaurus EVRAS" edited by G. A. Cherkasova and "Russian Regional Associative database" by SIBAS N. V. Ufimtseva and I. V. Shaposhnikova served as the research material for the databases of different periods obtained during free associative experiments. The material of the first source was collected and published in the late Soviet – early post-Soviet period, when socio-political changes were actively taking place that turned the lives of the country and Russian citizens upside down. The second and third sources were created in the second decade of the XXI century and are still being replenished. After analyzing the data, we established the destruction of the archetype of non-possessiveness, and also traced changes in the mood of society in relation to the problem of poverty by analyzing the content and structure of the conceptual field. The scientific novelty of the work is that we have traced the transformation of the conceptual field. The analysis and conclusions of the work complement the picture of public opinion and can be used by sociologists, as well as in linguoculturology classes.

Voronko E.P. - The Alps Concept as the Key to Understanding Particularities of the Swiss Culture (the Case Study of the Lexical Representation of the Concept in the Swiss dialect of the German Language in Switzerland) pp. 45-52

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2018.1.25254

Abstract: The subject of the research is the picture of the world of the Swiss presented through the analysis of their language and based on the cultural concept 'The Alps'. Voronko in detail describes the key terms of The Alps concept formed from different points of view of Swiss cultural ideas and views. The author pays special attention to the analysis of Alpine Switzerland because The Alps is a certain object that presents a cultural concept of the Swiss. The Swiss lives depend on the Alps a lot, from their everyday life to the economic status of the country. Alpines, singularities of their everyday life and cuisine have their traditional names that are typical only for Swiss mountain regions. In this research Voronko followed the structure of the frame that involved names of Alpine region citizens, their everyday life and cuisine, traditions, festivals of the Alpine region, folk music, national sports, tourism, and precedent names. The author of the article applied the method of component analysis. In the course of the component analysis the author has used the vocabulary and definitions from the definition dictionaries of the Swiss German and COSMAS II corpus. The main conclusion  of the research is that Alpine Swiss have their own bright culture, traditions, festivals, national cusine and folklore, developing tourism and famous people. The results of the research also demonstrate that the cultural component of the concept is so bright as a result of the conceptual features thereof, in particular, certain names used to denote inhabitants of the Alpine region, their everyday life, cuisine, traditions and festivals, folk music, tourism and precedent names.

Zakharova N.E. - The reflection of space in the language of a multilingual society (on the example of the Khatango-Anabarsky district) pp. 46-54

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2021.12.37217

Abstract: This article examines the universal category of space and its representation in the multicultural and multilingual Khatango-Anabarsky cultural landscape. The Dolgan language in Khatangsky and Anabarsky multilingual societies develops evenly and has specifics of functionality. The Russian language that is the state language in the Russian Federation, along with the Yakut language that is cognate to the Dolgan language and has greater communicative capacity in the territory of Yakutia,  play considerable role in these processes. The description of the Dolgan concept of space is carried out by the following scheme: 1) semantic analysis of the lexis that reflects space and is notionally named spatial; 2) spatial analysis of the regional toponymy and ethno-economic territorial system of the Dolgan people; 3) psycholinguistic analysis of content of the concept. The novelty of this research lies in description of the peculiarities of linguistic consciousness of the bilinguals on the example of the Dolgan concept of space, which is viewed alongside the regional toponymy and ethno-economic territorial system of the Dolgan people. Space is the subject of research in various scientific disciplines. This article reviews its psycho-linguoculturological aspect. In accordance with the anthropocentric research model, the study explores the correlation between the language, culture and mentality, and complies with the definition of the concept as a certain "bundle of culture within human mind” [Stepanov, 2001, p.43]. Thus, the special lexis, besides the generally accepted binary oppositions, should include the geographical terms with landscape peculiarities, which in the authors’ opinion, can be the reflection of space.

Abstract: Subject of research: the content of images of linguistic consciousness of Dolgan Khatanga district of Krasnoyarsk Krai and Anabar district of Yakutia. Objective: to identify the features of the linguistic consciousness of modern Dolgans of two adjacent regions of the Russian Federation. Tasks: 1) to consider the extralinguistic situation in the places of compact residence of Dolgans separately and in the whole region; 2) to consider the linguistic situation in the region; 3) to consider the content of the concept of "native language". Methods: 1) a directed associative experiment was conducted among the SS population. Popigai, Syndassko Khatansky district of Krasnoyarsk Krai and ss. Yuryung Khaya, Saskylakh Anabar district of Yakutia. 2) sociolinguistic research of places of compact residence of the Dolgans of Russia (questionnaire survey, interview, observation, indirect observation (study of documentation). The novelty of the research: the Dolgan language consciousness has not yet been the subject of special research and the concept of "native language" in the Dolgan concept sphere has not been considered before. The results obtained are also interesting from the point of view of sociolinguistics, since the Khatango-Anabar region is a multilingual and multicultural region, respectively, bilingualism and multilingualism are actively developing. It was important for us to find out what a modern native speaker of the Dolgan language puts into the concept of "native language". The subjects were asked to answer the question: "What is a native language?". Basically, the content is built around the meaning of the first word of the stimulus "native", so the figurative component prevails.

Tomicheva I.V., Khlybova N.A., Girenko I.V. - Verbal expression of emotions in the course of teaching foreign language pp. 51-60

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2020.5.31398

Abstract: The subject of this research is identification of emotions based on verbal expressions. The studies dedicated to verbal expression of emotions mostly provide description and classification to the lexicon that reduce studying to semantic and mental capabilities of the phenomenon. The nature and influence of emotional states upon learning a language remain insufficiently studied. Emotional response is able to change the course of cognitive processes. Feelings and mood can greatly affect learning of a foreign language. In the process of emotive-empathic interaction, teacher and student exchange emotions. Success of the process directly depends on the proper emotional mutual perception. Another goal of this research is to determine verbal traces related to negative emotions. The author uses an empirical method of research, such as scientific observation over the behavior if students and teacher, recording the results of such observations. The scientific novelty consists in determination of the influence of emotion of students upon the reception of learning material. Positive emotions are the elements of motivation, while negative are the factors of demotivation. The presented research is a first step in using emotions, emerging in the course of study, aimed at formation of metacognitive skills of the students. The obtained conclusions may be valuable for educators to predict the expression of emotions in accordance with the learning goals and resources.

Mazirka I.O., Nekrasova O. - The influence of social networks on the formation of the linguistic personality of a Russian teenager pp. 63-75

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2022.5.37084

Abstract: In the article, the author, relying on the definitions of "language consciousness" and "language personality", presents a number of existing dangers for Russian teenagers and at the same time a wide range of opportunities for manipulators to reformat these categories in teenagers. The influence on the formation of the language consciousness and the language personality of a Russian teenager through social networks can partially "correct", and sometimes radically change the perception of reality by a teenager already familiar to him. This can happen for him imperceptibly, through the introduction of ideas, images, associations, stereotypes necessary for the manipulator into his consciousness. Subject of research: the influence of social networks on the process of formation of the linguistic consciousness of an individual, his formation as a linguistic personality in the complex process of his socialization. The following methods were used in the research process: 1. descriptive, as well as a method of analyzing scientific theoretical literature on the topic under study and information posted on the Internet; 2. the method of diachronic analysis of the process of the emergence and development of social networks on the global Internet;3. quantitative method (method of counting views in social networks); 4. comparative method (comparison and analysis of information obtained in the process of studying the communication of adolescents in social networks). The novelty of the study consists in the analysis of modern methods of effective influence of the manipulator on the reformatting of the adolescent's consciousness through the latter's participation in communication in social networks, which will undoubtedly force the teenager and the adult participant of well-known social networks to pay attention to the possible, often well-camouflaged, but at the same time noticeably aggressive informational and psychological impact on the adolescent's consciousness through the information received by him through the global Internet and social networks. The process can take place at three levels, and the degree of its success is proposed by the author to evaluate according to a number of criteria.

Mityushina M.S. - Verbalization through phraseological units of the Anima and Animus archetypes as a single level of the unconscious within C. Jung’s theory of the human psyche pp. 66-76

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2022.1.37300

Abstract: The goal of this article lies in consideration of verbalization based on phraseological units of the Anima and Animus archetypes that represent a single level of the unconscious according to C. Jung’s theory of the human psyche. The research employs the methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization of scientific-methodological literature on the topic, which allow revealing the categories of phraseological units and the semantic peculiarities of their verbalization. Substantiation is given to the need for studying the peculiarities of verbalization of personality traits according to the theory of archetypes of C. Jung, namely through phraseological units that explicate the culture and traditions of the entire nation. Verbalization of archetypes according to C. Jung has been studied in the previous works [Mazirka I. O., Mityushina M. A. “Phraseological units as a means of verbal expression of processes and objects of the human psyche based on C. Jung’s theory”. International Scientific Research Journal / / " Modern Humanities Success" No. 5, 2021] alongside the psycholinguistic aspects of personality overall in the scientific literature. The analysis of phraseological units, which characterize the Anima and Animus archetypes within the structure of human psyche in C. Jung’s theory, allowed dividing these phraseological units into several categories: male / female in personality, personality traits, including their bipolarity, interpersonal relationship between the opposite gender, as well as the models of marital relations, and cultural images. In The author outlines the semantic peculiarities of phraseological units in the context of verbalization of the indicted categories. As a result, substantiated is given to the need and importance of studying the peculiarities of verbalization of personality traits according to C. Jung’s theory of archetypes, namely through phraseological units that most explicitly reflect the culture and traditions of the entire nation.

Zhabin D.V. - Tempo-rhythmic characteristics of spontaneous speech of speakers of certain types of mental accentuations of personality in states of psychoemotional tension pp. 105-113

DOI:

EDN: LYCXAO

Abstract: The subject of psycholinguistic research is the formal signs of spontaneous sounding speech of the speaker in conditions of emotional tension. In our opinion, indicators of emotional tension of speech in perception are, first of all, formal means of sounding speech at the level of rhythm, tempo, speech failures, which are in relation to complementarity with the semantic content of the phrase and signal the degree of tension of speech. Thus, the state of emotional tension is transmitted by a complex of formal signs of sounding speech. As an example of the psychological factor of emotional tension, we considered court hearings in criminal cases. The object was audio recordings of spontaneous sounding speech of native speakers of the Russian language in a situation that determines the state of emotional tension of the speaker. The novelty of the research lies in the use of qualitative experimental methods in the analysis of spontaneous sounding speech in a situation of emotional tension. Obtaining objective results becomes possible on the basis of auditory linguistic analysis, which allows with a certain degree of reliability to assess the emotional state of the speaker (deviation from the norm, anxiety, tension, the presence and type of emotions, for example, excitement, surprise, fear / anger, etc.), psychophysiological state (abnormality, the presence of pathology), finally, establish boundary criteria for determining a stress disorder for a particular mental type. Of particular interest is the appeal to the psychological typologization of the personality of K. Leonhard, which makes a reliable analysis not only of the characteristics of the character (the so-called psychological phenotype of the personality), but also of his temperament (the psychological basis of the personality).

Zakharova N.E. - Linguistic consciousness of the bilingual Evenks of Yakutia (on the material of adjectives denoting character traits of a human) pp. 126-136

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2020.12.34745

Abstract: The subject of this research is the content of images of linguistic consciousness of the Evenks who do not have a command of the native language. The goal consists in determination of the peculiarities of linguistic consciousness of the Evenks of Yakutia who do not have a command of the native language. Methodological framework of this research is comprised of the relevant works in the area of language contacts of modern linguists, as well as the works dedicated to the Evenki-Yakut and Yakut-Russian interaction. Works by the scholars of the Moscow Psycholinguistic School became fundamental in describing the worldview of the Evenks.  The conducted sociopsycholinguistic comparative research of the ethnocultural specificity of adjectives denoting character traits of a human in the Evenki language allows determining the general and the particular, indicating the differences between the cultures and their ethnic specificity. The reconstructed via associative experiment model of lexicon represents the system of intersecting associative fields. The associative ties between the units of human lexicon are based on the main types of linguistic relations (paradigmatic, syntagmatic, derivational), as well as o extra-linguistic experience of a person, are the basis of associative relations between the units of the human lexicon. For example, associative fields is the method of externalization of consciousness, which helps in the analysis of linguistic consciousness, processes of production and perception of speech. The content of associative fields in different languages points at either similarity or discrepancy of the worldviews of different cultures. The acquired results of may be valuable for further comparative and area studies of languages of the peoples of the North that are under risk of extinction, as well as in studying linguistic consciousness, cross-cultural communication, linguoculturological research, theory of translation, and in special courses on problems of linguistics.

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2013.2.62899

Abstract: Based on the studies of the semantic field of a basic Gypsy socionim ROM, the author of the article views the problem of studying the linguistic picture of the world of minorities when their language and culture function under the situation of bilingualism and bi-culture. The author analyzes the core of socionims of gyspy roms which represent the primary relation (i.e. denotes the age, gender and social function). The author shows distortions of the semantic field of the rom socionim which appears when social Gypsy terms are discussed in other languages both by the researchers, representatives of the macro society, and Gypsy people themselves. It is described how the situation of intercultural communication leads to formation of ethnonymic semantics of the socionim in intercultural environment, on one hand, and on the way it is perceived by the researchers, on the other hand. Information and conclusions offered in the article are important for such fields as lingvoanthropology and lingvoculturology, psycholinguistics, ethnopsychology, studies of linguistic intercultural problems and translation theory.

Khoroshikh P.P. - Psycholinguistics: From an Individual Branch of Knowledge to Polyscientific Knowledge pp. 231-236

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2018.3.22196

Abstract: In his article Khoroshikh analyzes the modern status of psycholinguistics as a branch of scientific knowledge. The author notes that this science has developed as a result of the dichotomy of humanities and natural science, thus combining these two approaches. This is the specific relation of psycholinguistics research object, subject and methods that allows to refer it to complex science. Different definitions of psycholiguistics demonstrate that there are different approaches to interpreting it as a science. The author of the article analyzes how psycholinguistics correlate to other sciences. For example, psychology and language studies have contributed a lot to the development of psycholinguistics as a complex science in general. These sciences have formed the basis and methodologies of psycholinguistics. Khoroshikh pays special attention to the role of anthropology, development and transformation of human as a system in the process of philogenesis and anthropogenesis. Psycholinguistics offer a new concept, so called 'language personality'. The mutual influence of psycholinguistics and anthropology have also formed the basis for a new approach, anthropocentrism. The development of anthropocentrism ideas in psycholinguistics has also given an impulse to studying the language as a special form of culture. Thus, it can be seen that psycholinguistics is still at the stage of development and gets into contact with different branches of knowledge.

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2018.3.26596

Abstract: The subject of the research is the perception of information by the means of cliches (formulaic expressions) in business communication. Until recently linguists had been having a negative attitude to cliche and hackneyed phrases. It used to be thought that both information and emotional components are lost in a cliche. However, Wilhelm von Humboldt's linguistic concept changed the attitude to the language and individual language ability. Later the idea of generative grammar was offered by N. Khomsky, the idea became very popular with Western linguists. Russian linguistic school was represented by L. Vygotsky and A. Leontiev. This research contains analysis of linguistic concepts and ideas of Russian and foreign researchers that formed the basis of psycholinguistics as an academic discipline. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that never before cliches have been viewed from the point of view of text and feeling formation factors. Despite rigid equivalents used to translate cliches, their translation effects the translation of the rest of the text and creates a necessary information field for information perception. Based on the example of the translation of cliches from international treaties and diplomatic correspondence, the author of the article illustrates and explains certain cases of cliche translation.

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2018.3.26654

Abstract: The aim of this research is to derscribe functions of English loan words in the Russian language communication, in particular, based on the analysis of lexical meanings of English loan words and processes of their semantic transformation under the conditions of the language game. The author also focuses on the contextual use of these lexical units in mass media and Internet as well as everyday Russian speech. The object of the research includes five English loan words, trash, pressing, drive, driver, and holly war. The subject of the research is the transformation of the loan word meanings in the functional space of the Russian language. The author appeals to vocabulary definitions of the aforesaid English loan words. Then the author analyzes how these words are usually used and, finally, at the stage of analysis, the author provides the data of an association experiment. The research sources include English and Russian dictionaries, texts and polycode mass media texts and Internet posts. The scientific novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the author defines and differentiates the meanings of English loan words in accordance with semantic changes. The theoretical importance of the research is caused by the opportunity to use the results of the research to complete definitions of English loan words, carry out psycholinguistic and cross-cultural communication researches, and for further analysis of borrowings from foreign languages.

Lyulina A.V. - Intentional Analysis of May's Speech 'Renewing the British Dream': Socio-Evoluational Aspect pp. 326-333

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0749.2018.4.27870

Abstract: The object of the research is the linguistic actualisators of manipulation targets at the socio-evolutional level that can be discovered through the intentional analysis of political speeches. The subject of the research is the peculiarities of how these actualizators function in manipulative political messages as well as the relationship between 'socio-evolutional manupulation target and language actualisator of this target'. The rationale of the research is explained by the fact that the structure of manipulative intention as a multi-component phenomenon is still an understudied issue in certain kinds of discourse (including political discourse) and there is no single opinion of linguists on the classification of verbal means of manipulative intention. Noteworthy that the researcher describes such efficient manipulation means of political speech as nominating words, abductive speech acts, promissive speech acts, repetition and simple syntactic construction that actualise basic features of mass consciousness acting as manipulation targets of a mass recipient (availability treshold, expectation of social ideal, binarism of thinking and evaluation). The main research method is the intentional analysis of political speech based on a so-called 'recipient-centered' approach that allows to discover the basic manipulation means while viewing the main characteristics of a mass recipient as manipulation targets. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the researcher has applied this approach to the analysis of manipulation means that can be used in political speech, the latter also allowered to create a more accurate classification thereof. The high frequency of socio-evolutional actualisators discovered proves that these are efficient means in the process of speech manipulation.
