Mayer R.V. - Computer Two-Component Probability Model for Studying Academic Disciplines pp. 42-52

DOI:
10.7256/2409-8736.2015.1.13701

Abstract: The article is devoted to the solution of the main task of the mathematical learning theory which is to define the level of knowledge of a student studying a discipline. The researcher states that all the acquired academic knowledge can be conditionally divided into the two categories: 1) ephemeral knowledge that is easily forgotten, and 2) time-proof knowledge (skills) developed through multiple repetitions of the academic material that is slowly forgotten. The given simulation model also takes into account the dependence of the ratio of knowledge acquisition and time a student spends on studying the material on the overall level of student's actual knowledge. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher has used the methods of the analysis and synthesis of complex systems, mathematical and computer simulation. The scientific novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the researcher proves that it is possible to create a two-component probability model for studying an academic discipline and this model may include: 1) probability of a student studying a new issue or repeating the material; 2) increasing share of time-proof knowledge as a result of a growing number of repetitions; 3) reduction of time spent on studying a particular material while repetitions of the material grow; 4) growing ratio of knowledge acquisition while the overall quantity of knowledge and/or knowledge of this particular material multiply. The given model allows to monitor the dynamics of student's growth of overall knowledge and his knowledge of a particular discipline.

Zebzeeva V.A. - The use of models and modeling in ecological education of preschool children pp. 76-84

DOI:
10.25136/2409-8736.2017.4.19521

Abstract: The subject of study is the ecological education of preschool children, formation of children's ideas about the interrelations in nature. The relevance of the study relates to the need of modern society into comprehensively developed young generation, having developed skills, creative activity, owning culture of environmental awareness. Environmental education aimed at the preservation and reasonable use of natural resources based on knowledge of the laws of nature. In this regard, there is a constant search for effective methods and forms of ecological education of preschool children. The modeling method allows intuitive and accessible for children to reproduce the hidden properties and communications of the natural object. The ability to visual spatial modeling is one of the fundamental specific human abilities. The research methodology was based on the study of the views of preschool children about the interrelations in nature, skill in building the simplest models that reflect the relationships in nature. As research methods were used analysis and generalization of literature, conversation, practical tasks and observations of different activities of children. The results showed that the positive dynamics in ecological education of preschool children is achieved through the development of children's visual spatial modelling, use of models, fixing a logical sequence with natural texts, acting as plan, provide understanding of children's relationships and dependencies that exist in nature; the use of complex models: a subject – allowing to reproduce the structure, characteristics, internal and external relationship of real objects and phenomena of nature; subject – schematic – allows you to select the characteristics, relations and objects of nature, which helps to understand the value of protective coloration of animals; graphical models transmitting signs, ties and relationships of natural phenomena.
