Pushkareva T.V., Shemyakina E.M., Yushchenko N.S., Derzhavina O.A. - The experience of iconological interpretation of Internet memes (based on the material of "quarantines" from the collection of social cartoons of the Center for Social and Political History of the State Public Historical Library) pp. 21-39

DOI:

Abstract: The object of the research is Internet memes as a product of modern mass culture and art. The subject of the study is the iconological interpretation of an Internet meme as an art object. Internet memes dedicated to the lockdown and the COVID-19 pandemic - "quarantine" from the collection of social cartoons of the Center for Socio-Political History of the State Public Historical Library, which was collected during the lockdown of 2020, and also relevant Internet materials were selected for interpretation. The purpose of the article is to conduct an iconological interpretation of selected Internet memes from the collection of social cartoons of the Center for Socio–Political History of the State Public Historical Library. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time an Internet meme was considered as an art object, and the possibilities of iconological interpretation of this phenomenon of modern culture and art were investigated using the example of several "quarantine" sites. The article shows that the construction of "quarantines" went both along the path of creating new memes and by transforming old memes based on recontextualization – using well-known plots, images, heroes to discuss new realities. The iconological interpretation of the "quarantines" made it possible to identify the features of the reflection of the pandemic in the public consciousness (the feeling of the "inversion" of the world, the catastrophic nature of changes, new security conditions) and to deepen knowledge about the nature of artistic self-help of society in conditions of social extremum (the use of the healing effects of the tragicomic).

Pushkareva T.V., Ashutova T.V., Ivanova E.Y., Gramakova A.A. - Suggestive techniques in modern social advertising about road safety: socio-cultural aspect pp. 40-54

DOI:
10.7256/2310-8673.2023.2.40866

Abstract: The authors discusses the suggestive possibilities of new digital technologies in the dissemination and popularization of socially significant knowledge about traffic rules and safety. The modern Russian and foreign experience of social advertising about road safety is analyzed. It is shown that with the use of new technologies in social advertising on the topic of road safety, the role of suggestive influence based on the use of artistic metaphor and documentary naturalism increases. The author's typology of suggestive techniques used in modern social advertising to increase the persuasiveness of content and to enhance the socio-psychological effects of social advertising is proposed. There are such visual suggestive techniques carried out with the help of new technologies as special effects of transformation (including animation, changing the environment, changing the body) and the effect of presence (carried out through transmedia and interactivity). These techniques are complemented by a concise verbal presentation of the rules of the road in the imperative mood. The socio-psychological mechanisms of the impact of these techniques based on their special combination are analyzed. It is shown that the selected visual suggestive techniques are based on causing varying degrees of discomfort to the audience: from mild to completely unconscious – to shock, which becomes a favorable ground for the suggestion of a verbalized idea in the audio track and the credits of the video. It is shown that suggestive techniques in modern social advertising about road safety, carried out on the basis of new technologies, lead to the mental construction of the image of the city in the spirit of archaic fairy-tale models and initiation rites, and thereby largely ensure the effectiveness of such advertising. The results of the study can be used in socio-cultural practice related to road safety in a modern city.

Pushkareva T.V., Ivanova E.Y., Utkina I.V. - Architectural model through the prism of cultural-historical tradition and new technologies pp. 20-33

DOI:
10.25136/2409-8744.2021.6.37053

Abstract: This article provides a comprehensive research of the architectural model as a cultural phenomenon in cultural-historical dimension since its origin to the latest technological solutions applied in modern architectural modeling. Research methodology is based on the structural-functional and semiotic approaches. The analysis of historical-cultural and modern development of architectural model reveals the five sociocultural functions fulfilled by the architectural model in professional activity, society and culture: professional planning and coordination of architectural project; presentation of the project to customer; commemoration of the outstanding results of human activity; educational engineering; art modeling, namely within the framework of the ensemble type of stenographic art.  It is demonstrated that since the beginning of the XXI century, the main function of architectural model – improvement of the project – intertwines with digital modeling for the most part. However, the presentational, commemorative, educational and artistic functions of the architectural model continue to be implemented in actual material, scaling up the distribution and improving the professional methods and techniques of implementation. Analysis is conducted on the role of 3D- printing for the development of modern architectural model. The conclusion is made that the architectural model is a universal form of retaining and transmitting cultural experience, the possibilities of which are not diminished by the advancement of digital technologies and virtual reality. The relevance of architectural model in modern world is associated with the unique quality of the phenomenon- to give a person an enticing illusion of symbolic appropriation of space. Digitalization of the society, professional activity, and education expands the needs for architectural modeling, and simultaneously provides new opportunities for implementation of a number of sociocultural functions of the architectural model on a new level.

Pushkareva T.V., Pushkareva E., Sarkisyan M. - Materialization of the Archetype: Theory and Practice of the Psychological Master Class' Me and My Doll'

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2015.8.15951

Abstract: The subject of the research article is the author's psychological master class 'Me and My Doll' as the therapeutic response tot he socio-cultural challenges of the modern age. In their research the authors describe theoretical and methodological grounds and analyze practical results of the master class. The master class is viewed as an original kind of art therapy aimed at compensation of psychological difficulties of modern human resulting from the problems of identification, increased anxiety, low self-esteem as well as satisfaction of personality needs for self-knowledge and self-realization. The authors describe the details of carrying out the master class and accompany their description with the analysis of particular examples from practice. The theoretical and methodological basis of the master class is the Gestalt approach and analytical psychology that are put to practice during creation and interpretation of the image of a folk Slavic rag doll that in our case represents the materialized form of an archetype. The experience of the twelve psychological master classes 'Me and My Doll' at the public library No. 221 of Moscow has proved the method to be efficient and therefore the method can be recommended for work with both professional and wide audience. The main point of the psychological mechanism lying in the basis of the master class is the following. The image of the Other represented in the doll becomes some kind of an identification version of one self that allows to investigate, accept and integrate the just discovered subpersonality into the personality structure, thus clarifying the most difficult processes of identification to a person and considerably increasing the psychological tension that inevitably accompanies his searches for socio-cultural identity. Moreover, materialization of the archetype that happens during the psychological master class stimulates the transfer of unconscious elements to consciousness and as a result aims at acquisition of human's integrity and harmony with himself and the world.
