Abstract: Monitoring of criminal situation in the border areas of the Russian Federation and Ukraine shows the growth of activities of the transnational organized criminal formations. The border guards regard these criminal formations as the key threat. That is why there’s need to improve the complex of measures, which are aimed to prevent such a negative phenomenon.
