Abstract: The political struggle among the parties in Glasgow in the late XIX – the beginning of the ХХI century. The stages of «laborisation» of urban policy in the XX century is studied. The article analyzes the reasons for political strengthening of the Scottish Nationalists in Glasgow at the end of XX century – the beginning of the XXI century.
